Job Description

Accounting Specialist The Accounting Specialist is responsible for managing financial transactions and ensuring accuracy across accounts receivable, accounts payable, and month-end processes. This role supports the finance team by maintaining compliance with company policies and delivering timely reporting. This position is temp to hire and will pay between $45K and $55K annually. Responsibilities

  • Process and monitor accounts receivable, including invoicing, payment application, and collections follow-up
  • Manage accounts payable functions, including vendor setup, invoice entry, and payment processing
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries for month-end close
  • Assist with preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules
  • Review and resolve discrepancies in billing, payments, and account balances
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for audits and compliance purposes
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure timely and accurate financial data
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives for accounting processes

Qualifications

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field is preferred but not required
  • 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general accounting
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and month-end closing procedures
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
