Shift : 2nd Shift (Mon- Thurs, 2 : 15 p.m.-12 : 45 a.m. CST)
Shift Differential : $2.50 / hour
Position Overview :
The CNC Mill Programmer / Operator is responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC milling machines to produce precision components used in the manufacturing and repair of hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders. This role involves interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions to create accurate CNC programs and machine setups that meet specified tolerances and quality standards.
Key responsibilities include tool selection, fixture setup, and the execution of efficient machining operations using G-code and CAM software. The CNC Mill Programmer / Operator performs in-process inspections, verifies part conformity using precision measuring instruments, and makes necessary adjustments to maintain accuracy throughout production.
In addition to machining tasks, the position includes routine machine maintenance, monitoring tooling wear, and ensuring proper coolant and lubrication levels. Success in this role requires strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a dedication to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment while consistently delivering high-quality components.

Computer Skills :
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of G&M Code / Programming.
Education / Experience :
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or five years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to wear safety glasses and hard sole / close toed shoes with a low heel when walking through the manufacturing shop and / or repair shop whether as part of performing their job or just passing through. In addition, long hair must be tied back when around hazards of flame, machinery, or equipment.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and vibration.
The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
