About the role
Were looking for a Web Engineer with strong experience across modern web technologies and proven experience working in the gaming industry. This is a mandatory requirement. In this role, youll design, modernise, and maintain high-traffic websites and applications that support major game brands and corporate digital platforms. Your work will directly impact millions of players worldwideenhancing user journeys, supporting marketing initiatives, and delivering fast, reliable, and polished web experiences. Youll collaborate closely with game studios, marketing, platform engineering, and technical services teams to ship scalable, performant, and secure web solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain web applications and websites supporting major game titles and corporate platforms.
- Modernise existing web experiences in line with evolving product, brand, and marketing goals.
- Build responsive, accessible, and high-performance front-end interfaces using JavaScript, React, and HTML / CSS.
- Develop server-side functionality and APIs using Node.js and / or Python.
- Integrate with internal tools, REST APIs, authentication systems, and game-related services.
- Collaborate with Technical Services to support websites and applications tied to game franchises and IP.
- Implement and optimise CI / CD pipelines using tools such as Git, Perforce, Bamboo, Jenkins, or similar.
- Ensure reliability, security, and scalability across all deployed web systems.
- Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
35+ years of experience as a Web Engineer or Full-Stack Developer in gaming, supporting game websites, live ops tools, player portals, or similar game-related web ecosystems mandatory.Strong proficiency in JavaScript, Node.js, Python, HTML5, CSS3.Hands-on experience with React and modern front-end frameworks.Solid experience building and integrating RESTful APIs.Strong understanding of responsive design, browser compatibility, and web performance.Experience collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams (design, marketing, product, backend).Hands-on experience with CI / CD systems such as Git, Perforce, Bamboo, Jenkins, or similar.Ability to troubleshoot complex issues across the stack and deliver robust, scalable solutions.Nice to have
Experience working with high-traffic or large consumer-facing web platforms.Familiarity with CMS platforms, cloud environments, or containerised systems.Understanding of SEO, analytics, and optimisation for marketing platforms.Passion for games, player communities, and gaming culture.Benefits
