Estimator
An Estimator in the restoration industry is a professional responsible for assessing property damage and determining the costs associated with repairing or rebuilding structures. They work closely with clients, insurance companies, and restoration teams to ensure accurate and efficient cost estimation.
The role demands strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects. Proficiency in industry-specific software and excellent communication are also key to effectively negotiate and finalize estimates.

Compensation is evaluated on a yearly basis effective from the start date of employment of each calendar year. An annual reward planner (ARP) is completed at that time.
Promotions and advancement within the position bring progressively greater challenge, learning, responsibility, and compensation.

Xactimate Levels 1, 2, and 3 Certification
2+ years of experience in Estimating, preferably in Restoration
Experience with estimating software's
High School Diploma or equivalent
Bachelors degree is preferred
Excel knowledge and ability to create and review complex spreadsheets
Proficiency with estimating software. (CoreLogic Estimate, Xactimate, T&M Pro and CRM tools)
Pays close attention to detail with excellent proofreading skills

Ability to lift, carry and manage 50lbs physically when tasked to.
Report weekly to the Team Lead or Lead Estimator.
Prepare timely and accurate damage scopes and estimates using Xactimate, CoreLogic, and T&M Pro.
The ability to estimate all 3 services we provide in a timely & proficient manner.
Ensure compliance with third-party program (TPA / DRP, etc) service standards.
Use 3D imaging software to support estimate preparation.
Stay knowledgeable about insurance claims processes, industry trends, and building materials / technologies.
Communicate effectively with management, team members, and clients.
Participate in individual and group training sessions as requested.
Maintain and obtain additional IICRC certifications as required.
Follow and enforce all safety protocols, including proper PPE use.
Visit loss sites when approved by the Team Lead.
Perform other related duties as assigned by the estimating supervisor.
Oversight of the entire job life cycle for assigned clients.
Supports team goals, roles, and expectations.
Active engagement in professional development with a focus on the Individual Development Plan (IDP) career path.
Meet with Supervisor no less than weekly for Goal Setting and Review.
Attend and actively participate in leadership development training such as but not limited to selling, situational leadership, priority management, facilitation, conflict resolution.
Participates in marketing and business development as the need arises.
Participates in the collection process of payment from customers.
Complete special assignments as requested by Supervisor.
Participates in emergency services when an "All hands-on deck" scenario arises.
Participate in on-going problem solving and practicing continuous improvement of the department and company as a whole.
Participate in Paul Davis social events, Goal Setting and Review, All Team Meetings and as many other opportunities as possible to engage with the rest of the team.
Required to be on standby for incoming calls after standard working hours for a total of 7 days throughout the year.
Full-time salaried position with standard business hours, at times may extend to 60hrs per week during high job volume.
Hours required will vary and will often require attendance of evening social, networking, and business development events.
Availability for occasional after-hours, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements : The physical environment requires the employee to work all types of both indoor and outdoor conditions. Frequently required to use personal protective equipment, having ability to stand or walk, occasionally bending, squatting, climbing stairs and lifting up to 50 pounds.
