As a Clinical Laboratory Scientist, you will play a vital role in supporting organ transplantation by performing complex, high-impact testing that directly contributes to patient outcomes. Primary duties include :
- \tPerform and document complex laboratory tests – including immunophenotyping assays and flow cytometry – with precision and accuracy.
- \tConduct quality control procedures in compliance with manufacturer protocols, department guidelines, ASHI standards, State Department of Health regulations, and other applicable accrediting bodies.
- \tEnter and retrieve data accurately using the Medical Center LIS and UIC LIS, ensuring consistency through supervisor or senior staff review.
- \tComplete CAP survey samples and competency exams accurately and within designated time frames.
- \tOperate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment in accordance with manufacturer instructions and laboratory protocols.

In addition to a competitive salary range, this position is also\neligible for shift differentials.

Salary Range : $53.31 / hour - $71.04 / hour
Qualifications
\tCurrent, valid California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) or Clinical Histocompatibility Scientist (CHS) license.\tBachelor’s degree.\tAbility to work outside of normal shift hours, including on-call and rotating weekends.\tMust pass the Ishihara Color Vision exam, i.e. visual acuity including color differentiation.
