Product Owner (SAFe) - Embedded Software Engineer with Security Clearance

Role : Product Owner (SAFe) - Embedded Software Engineer Client : Defense-Aerospace Hourly Rate : up to $54 / hr W2, non-benefited Length : Long-Term Location : Ft. Wayne, IN Clearance : Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire Description :

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product requirements and priorities.
• Create and manage the product backlog, ensuring it aligns with business objectives.
• Participate in SAFe ceremonies, including PI Planning, to ensure smooth project execution.
• Work closely with stakeholders to gather feedback and continuously improve the product.
• Monitor progress and adjust priorities as needed to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality software. Required Skills :
• 2-3 years of experience in a Product Owner role, preferably with embedded software.
• Strong understanding of SAFe principles and practices.
• Proficiency in C, C++ and C#.
• Familiarity with real-time operating systems (RTOS).
• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable tasks.
• Proven track record of delivering successful software products. Desired Skills :
• Experience with embedded systems and software development.
• Strong understanding of software development process, as well as software engineering concepts, principles, and theories
• SAFe certification or relevant training.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Passion for technology and innovation.
• Domain experience in RF and GPS and Navigation system development, implementation and integrations efforts. Required Education and Experience : Requires a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 5 years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience.
