The Position

Reporting to the SMART Centre Team lead, this position is seeking a Data Scientist to our lead advanced analytics initiatives working with work with large-scale operational datasets, designing and delivering end-to-end solutions for our clients to optimise their safety and operational performance.

• Data Engineering & Architecture : Build ETL pipelines developing scalable data for dashboards and predictive models.
• Analytics & Modeling : Apply analytics and statistical methods to predict mining operational performance, productivity, and risk, translating complex data into business metrics
• Visualization & Reporting : Build BI dashboards and custom web apps (Power BI, Streamlit, Folium, Kepler.gl, etc.) to communicate insights, easy-to-understand visuals for broad audience
• Collaboration & Consulting : Work closely with consultants and client stakeholders to understand challenges and design analytics solutions

About you

This role suits someone with strong data science skills from any asset-intensive industry (manufacturing, logistics, energy, transport, etc.) who is eager to apply them in mining. In addition, we are seeking those with the following skills or attributes.
