Uplift Therapist / Community Based Therapist

As part of the recent merger of Best Point and Butler Behavioral Health, we are excited to announce a new opportunity for an Older Adult Therapist in Butler County.

Butler Behavioral Health has been providing high quality behavioral health services to our community since 1948. Together Butler Behavioral Health and Best Point will continue to value the unique characteristics, individual strengths and a holistic understanding of every client and their resources, to develop personalized treatment plans with focused objectives that result in “small steps” towards changing their lives.

The UPLIFT program provides in-home supportive counseling services for older adults (60+) who are struggling with symptoms of depression and anxiety. UPLIFT uses methods of problem solving treatment, social and physical activation, and increased pleasant activity planning to reduce depression in physically impaired and socially isolated people. UPLIFT involves 8 one-on-one sessions with clients in their home over the course of 5-6 months.

Our Uplift program is in need of a Community Based Therapist to provide in-home supportive therapy for these individuals. The position focuses on support associated with depression and anxiety utilizing the evidenced-based PEARLS model of care.

Responsibilities :

• Working directly with older adults in their home, while following and implementing the PEARLS model of treatment for depression and anxiety symptoms.
• Ability to complete Diagnostic Assessments
• Ability to create a service plan and provide therapeutic services and interventions tailored to each client.
• Make appropriate community resource referrals, and collaborate with other professionals
• Collect data and complete clinical documentation within the required time frames
