Job description

Job Title : Buyer

Location : Hauppauge, NY 11788

Duration : 6 Months | Shift : 8 AM – 5 PM

Seeking an experienced Buyer with a background in aviation parts purchasing for OEM and MRO operations, including Tool Crib parts.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Manage the full procurement cycle : RFQs, POs, order tracking, expediting, and inventory control.
  • Source and evaluate suppliers for quality, delivery, and cost efficiency.
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and supplier agreements.
  • Resolve shipment and quality issues; ensure on-time material availability.
  • Support continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s in Business Administration or related field.
  • Experience with aviation or manufacturing procurement preferred.
  • Strong negotiation, supplier management, and MRP / ERP system skills.
  • CPM certification a plus.
