EHS Manager EHS Manager
Position Overview
The EHS Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the company's environmental health and safety programs in the food manufacturing sector. This role aims to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards while promoting a culture of safety and environmental stewardship within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement EHS policies and procedures for food manufacturing operations.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA, FDA, and other relevant regulations.
- Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses to prevent future occurrences.
- Provide training and support to employees on EHS practices and compliance.
- Collaborate with management to set EHS goals and ensure continuous improvement in safety performance.
- Monitor and report on EHS metrics and key performance indicators to senior management.
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes affecting EHS policies.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety Management, or related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in an EHS role, preferably in food manufacturing.Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) preferred.Strong knowledge of OSHA, FDA regulations, and safe manufacturing practices.Excellent communication, leadership, and training skills.Benefits
