The Technical Sales Specialist will support our sales team by processing customer RFQs (Requests for Quotation), leveraging technical expertise to ensure that accurate, timely, and competitive estimates are created. This role involves close collaboration with the Account Manager and utilizing specifications from OEMs to develop precise estimates (quotes) in NetSuite. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with both customers and internal teams. Salary range for this position is between $60,000-$70,000 annual depending on experience, also eligible for incentive bonus, 401k with company contribution, STD, LTD, paid life insurance, medical, dental, vision, pet-insurance and more.
Core Duties & Responsibilities
- Review and analyze customer RFQs to understand their technical requirements and specifications.
- Responsible for control and actuators quotes
- Work closely with the Account Manager to gather relevant information, customer preferences, and project details that affect pricing and proposal creation.
- Use technical knowledge to assess the customer’s needs and translate them into accurate product specifications, ensuring the proposal aligns with both customer expectations and OEM guidelines.
- Utilize NetSuite to create comprehensive, competitive, and accurate estimates, ensuring all costs, materials, and technical components are accounted for.
- Utilize OEM-provided specifications and pricing while formulating estimates, ensuring compliance with quality standards and contractual requirements.
- Generate detailed proposals based on customer RFQs, including technical documentation and necessary clarifications, to present to the customer.
- Review and verify the final estimates and proposals for completeness and accuracy after submission to the customer.
- Address customer inquiries related to estimates, provide additional technical information as needed, and support the sales team with customer communication.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, RFQs, and estimates in NetSuite, providing regular updates and reports to the sales and management teams.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, new technologies, and product offerings to improve proposal accuracy and competitiveness.

Qualifications & Requirements
3 years of Proven work experience as a Technical Sales Specialist or similar roleExcellent customer service communication skills including active listening.Service-oriented and able to resolve customer grievances.Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn new software.Actively seeks information to understand customer circumstances, problems, expectations, and needs.Acts independently and on own initiative.Uses understanding of customer needs to initiate solutions.Critical thinking and problem-solving skillsAbility to effectively present information in a clear and organized manner, and respond professionally and appropriately to questions of managers, reps, and customers.physical demands :
