SMS is seeking a Network Engineer / SQL Server to provide AFRL Rocket Lab with qualified support staff to execute day-to-day operations and maintenance within the NOC. This effort provides support to the network / server infrastructure and equipment within the AFRL Rocket Lab.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance on Microsoft SQL Server 2016 and higher.
• Assist in the development and implementation of enterprise database backup, recovery, and failover procedure.
• Serve as a liaison for database related queries and technical support between NOC and customers.
• Triage Network Operation Center level server ticket utilizing Web Help Desk.
• Provide intermediate level network support and troubleshooting.
• Provide support, administration, and maintenance for AFRL Rocket Lab specialized information systems.
• Daily monitor of network and storage devices.
• Monitor and maintain uninterruptible power supply (UPS) devices.
• Document the problem with the technical detail(s) within the Web Help Desk ticket.
