CMM Programming Quality Engineer – Aerospace Manufacturing
Location : Windsor, CT (100% Onsite)
Employment Type : Direct Hire
Compensation : $75K–$130K (based on experience and education)

We’re partnering with a leading aerospace manufacturer that’s growing its quality engineering team. This newly created CMM Programming Quality Engineer position offers the chance to work with cutting-edge precision machining technologies and play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of aerospace quality.

Key Responsibilities
Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot CMM programs using PC-DMIS and / or MCOSMOS for complex, high-tolerance aerospace components.
Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and GD&T to design efficient and accurate inspection strategies.
Determine appropriate fixturing and setups to ensure consistent, repeatable measurement results.
Lead and support FAI , PPAP , and related quality documentation per customer and AS9100 standards.
Perform Measurement System Analysis (MSA) , Gage R&R , and other validation activities.
Partner closely with manufacturing, design, and supplier teams to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement.
Maintain and update control plans , inspection plans , and process documentation aligned with ISO 9001 and AS9100 requirements.
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of CMM programming experience , specifically with PC-DMIS and / or MCOSMOS .
Strong working knowledge of GD&T , blueprint interpretation , and advanced metrology techniques.
Background in aerospace or precision machining required.
Experience performing or leading FAI / PPAP , supplier quality , and process validation activities.
Familiarity with ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality systems.
Proficiency in Minitab , SPC , or similar statistical analysis tools.
Associate degree in Engineering or related discipline required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
U.S. citizenship required.
