Manager, Application Development Engineering
Location : This is a remote position open to candidates based in Atlanta, GA; Austin, TX; Burlington, VT; or Tallahassee, FL.
Reports to : VP Application Development
Salary range : $160,000 - $180,000

What You’ll Do
As the Manager, Application Development Engineering, you’ll lead and grow high-performing engineering teams that bring our healthcare software products to life. You’ll mentor developers, shape processes, and remove roadblocks so teams can deliver quality solutions on time and aligned with business goals. At the same time, you’ll play a key role in recruiting new talent, cultivating a healthy engineering culture, and ensuring your teams strike the right balance between strategic innovation and disciplined execution.
In this role, you will :
Manage, mentor, and develop software engineers through coaching, feedback, and performance reviewsRecruit and retain top engineering talent while cultivating a collaborative, innovative cultureRefine processes to improve cross-team communication, delivery timelines, and product qualityPartner with Product and Operations to balance customer needs with product strategyLead improvements in SDLC maturity, release predictability, and escalation handlingSupport progress on cloud migration, SaaS modernization, and hybrid environment initiativesGuide engineering contributions to AI, internal tooling, and convergence projectsOversee team budgets and resource planning to maximize organizational impactWhat You Bring
7+ years of professional software development experience3+ years of engineering leadership experience, including managing distributed teams delivering enterprise-grade softwareBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experienceStrong technical background with .NET, Angular, databases, and modern web architecturesExperience leading the development of healthcare software (i.e., claims management or payer–provider integrations)Proven track record of executing against complex product roadmaps and driving resultsExpertise in SDLC governance, agile methodologies, and CI / CD practicesExperience modernizing legacy platforms and leading convergence initiativesSkilled at cross-functional collaboration with Product, QA, and OperationsFamiliarity with cloud migration, hybrid environments, and SaaS delivery (preferred)Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence across teams
