Overview :
We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineer with experience in Ports and Maritime infrastructure to join our growing waterfront engineering team. The successful candidate will play a key role in planning, designing, and delivering a wide range of coastal, marine, and waterfront development projects.
Responsibilities :
- Support the design and analysis of port and harbor facilities, marine terminals, bulkheads, piers, wharves, revetments, and related waterfront infrastructure.
- Prepare engineering calculations, technical drawings, and design reports for marine and coastal structures.
- Perform site inspections, condition assessments, and construction support services for ongoing maritime projects.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including structural, geotechnical, and environmental engineers, to develop integrated project solutions.
- Assist in the development of construction documents, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Support permitting efforts and interface with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies (e.g., USACE, NOAA, state coastal commissions).
- Participate in client meetings, proposal preparation, and project presentations.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and industry best practices (e.g., PIANC, ASCE, USACE).
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Civil EngineeringEIT or PE license preferred6 - 20 years of relevant civil or structural engineering experience, ideally with a focus on coastal, waterfront, or marine projects. (Not a requirement)Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, or similar design software; experience with coastal modeling tools a plus.Strong technical writing, communication, and project coordination skills.Experience with port planning, dredging design, or coastal resiliency projects is a plus.
