Psychiatrist Key Responsibilities :
- Typical shift M-F, 8 : 00am-4 : 30pm, Night, Weekend, Holiday call by rotation
- Protected administrative time
- Evaluate and manage patients admitted to mental health inpatient service, and outpatient clinics including performing history and physical examinations.
- Provide coverage to evaluate and manage mental health veterans in the local area Emergency Department, and consultation liaison service as needed.
- Write prescriptions including controlled medications, order appropriate laboratory and diagnostic tests.
- Provide education, counseling, and documentation to patients and patients' families in preventive care, medical treatments, and the use of prescribed medications.

Board Certified or Board Eligible inProficiency in performing evaluations and providing treatment to Veterans in inpatient and outpatient settings.Must be a U.S. Citizen.
