Supervises the Shipping/Receiving department for assigned location. Evaluates, recommends, and implements changes in Shipping/Receiving systems and procedures to ensure the timely receiving and delivery of materials and products.

Supervises Shipping/Receiving department, assigns work, and maintains team commitment to continuous improvement and support of internal and external customers to ensure the timely receiving and delivery of materials and products.
1. Reviews department procedures to identify opportunities for improvement. Proposes changes and follows through on successful implementation.
2. Composes and maintains work instructions for departmental operations. Ensures that all personnel are trained in updated work instructions, processes, and safety procedures.
3. Specifies and recommends the purchase of departmental equipment and supplies. Coordinates maintenance and calibration.
4. Achieves high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in receiving, identifying, dispatching, and assuring quality of goods.
5. Ensures the accuracy of shipments and inventory transactions.
6. Completes other projects as assigned.

Job Skills Requirements

• Familiarity with inventory and/or operations management procedures and regulations.

• Effective supervisory, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Educational Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate's degree preferred.
• APICS Certification preferred.

Experience Requirements

• Three years' experience in relevant area. Manufacturing and supervision experience preferred.
