Overview : \n\nThe responsibilities of a Specials Recovery Registered Nurse revolve around overseeing the healthcare services provided to patients spanning different age groups. With moderate guidance, this position discerns the unique needs of individual patients and administers exceptional healthcare services in accordance with the patient's specified treatment plan. The core responsibility of this role is centered on managing the care and recovery processes for specialized patients within the healthcare facility.\n\nResponsibilities : \n
- Watches over patients in the dedicated recovery unit and evaluates their state to ensure a secure recovery process and to recognize any potential complications or hurdles that might arise.\n
- Dispenses medications and treatments according to physician instructions to ensure patients are receiving the accurate medications and treatments.\n
- Partners with other healthcare professionals to secure positive patient results and to ensure patients are offered organized and inclusive care by all members of the healthcare team.\n
- Ensures that documentation of patient care is processed meticulously for maintaining comprehensive medical records.\n
- Ensure the proper maintenance and stocking of equipment and supplies in the special recovery room for their optimal functionality.\n
- Requests counsel from upper management regarding difficult special recovery treatment plans and other issues that demand in-depth understanding.\n
- Undertakes supplementary duties as needed.\n\nQualifications : \n\nEDUCATION : \n\nRequired : \n\nAssociates Degree\n\nEXPERIENCE : \n\nRequired : \n
- 3 years as a Registered Nurse and 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations\n
- Cardiac Specialty Experience and 2 years of telemetry, ED, PCU, or ICU experience.\n\nLICENSURE / CERTIFICATION / REGISTRY / LISTING : \n\nRequired : \n
- Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state\n
- BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider\nACLS required within 6 months of hire
