Reporting directly to the Associate Vice President of Web Development and Digital Strategy, the Web Developer manages all aspects of building, maintaining, and updating institutional websites with a focus on enhancing the user experience, functionality across devices, information architecture, search engine optimization, and accessibility to meet Museum goals. The ideal candidate thrives in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment and enjoys working closely with other Museum colleagues and third-party developers to manage web-based projects from conception to launch.

  • Collaborate with other departments on various initiatives including but not limited to the Museum’s efforts to digitize its collections, event livestreams, as well as multimedia interactive experiences and displays such as the Dog Tag Experience.
  • Stay on top of digital trends and best practices to ensure Museum web products remain up to date and have a competitive advantage.
  • Undertake other projects as assigned by supervisor.
