About The Position

Employment type : Full-time

A top-rated nonprofit healthcare provider is seeking a full-time, experienced  Physician Assistant (PA) to join the General Surgery team. This role involves delivering advanced surgical care in a collaborative, patient-centered environment that supports professional growth.

Responsibilities :

Assist surgeons in the operating room during general surgery procedures

Round on postoperative patients and manage inpatient consults

Write daily progress notes and collaborate with physicians on treatment plans

Conduct physical exams and manage acute surgical and critical care conditions

Place preoperative orders for scheduled surgical cases

Evaluate simple clinic consults and recommend appropriate surgical or endoscopy plans

Discuss post-operative care plans with patients and their families

Utilize and interpret imaging modalities such as Ultrasound and CT in patient care

Answer patient calls and inquiries during regular business hours (Monday–Friday)

Contribute to a flexible and collaborative surgical practice open to professional growth

Job Requirements

Active Board-Certified Physician Assistant – REQUIRED

Ohio PA license or willingness to obtain – REQUIRED

Clean malpractice and license history – REQUIRED

Minimum 2+ years of experience in General Surgery – REQUIRED
