American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care for a travel nursing job in Berkeley, California.

Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced NICU RN with a current CA license, BLS, and NRP certifications, and at least two years of recent NICU experience.

Responsibilities

  • Position located in a hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
  • Night shifts (3x12 hours), 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 30 AM
  • Patient population consists of critically ill neonates and newborns
  • Every other weekend required
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • Epic charting experience preferred
  • Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rate
  • Local candidates will be considered at a lower rate
  • Return staff must have been gone for at least one year before being eligible to return as a traveler
  • Only one holiday requested off (RTO) will be approved during contract
  • Completion of non-billable orientation modules required, time spent may vary by specialty
  • Responsibilities include comprehensive neonatal assessment, care planning, coordination with interdisciplinary teams, and emergency response
  • Team-oriented work environment with coordination among nursing, physicians, families, and allied health
  • Must be aware of and compliant with background policy requirements

    • Requirements

  • Active CA RN license required at time of consideration
  • Current BLS and NRP certifications from AHA required
  • Minimum two years of recent NICU RN experience required
  • Must provide copies of certifications at time of consideration
  • Must be available to complete lab work within 3-5 days of accepting offer
