Accounting Clerk
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounting Clerk to join our team at Paul Miller Ford. This position is critical in supporting the daily financial operations of our dealership by reviewing and processing vehicle deals, managing specialized accounting logs, and ensuring the accuracy of key financial records. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with multi-department coordination and thrive in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Receive and review all incoming vehicle deal folders for accuracy and compliance, including :
Verifying taxes and rebates for Mazda, Ford, and commercial / fleet transactions
Ensuring all deal documentation is complete and properly recordedMaintain up-to-date records for fleet deals, and manage title logsOversee and update spreadsheets such as :Contracts in Transit
ReceivablesWholesale Payment TrackingManage and process :FCTP and Mazda Rentals
Related insurance and tax paymentsBird dog payments (sales referral incentives)Track and reconcile all vehicle stock-insMaintain and organize MSOs (Manufacturer Statements of Origin)Support marketing incentive tracking and rental-related tax documentationCalculate and process sales commissionsGenerate reports for sold vehicles, AOPs (Annual Operating Plans), and internal performance trackingEnsure FileShare and Tekion recap sheets match; notify a sales manager or finance director of discrepancies or changesComplete any additional duties as assigned by managementQualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in Accounting or related field preferredMinimum 2 years of experience in an accounting or dealership-related roleFamiliarity with automotive accounting, rebates, fleet transactions, or sales commission processes is a plusProficiency in Tekion, Excel, and other accounting softwareExceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skillsStrong organizational and time management abilitiesAbility to communicate effectively across departments and handle sensitive information with discretionSelf-motivated, dependable, and able to work both independently and within a teamThis is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in automotive accounting while supporting a high-performing dealership team.
