Youth Engagement Specialist (LC-Wellness) (Part-Time) Job Description Posted Thursday, June 5, 2025 at 4 : 00 PM Job Purpose The Youth Engagement Specialist, under the direct supervision of the Community Engagement and Wellness Team, will support program implementation and youth engagement for Lili’uokalani Center (LC). This role includes assisting with LC’s enrollment and engagement process, working in collaboration with Wellness programs, contributing to the development of programs and activities, and providing general support. The Specialist will work directly with youth involved in LC programming and may also be asked to provide administrative assistance as needed. About Lili’uokalani Center (LC) : Informed by a deep understanding of the adolescent experience and grounded in Hawaiian culture, the new LC will provide Hawaiian youth with opportunities to connect with peers and mentors, receive supportive services, and discover pathways to passion, purpose, and prosperity. LC will be LT’s signature youth development hub for culture, creativity, technology, and play, serving as a resource center where youth can connect to vital supports and a vibrant community. Located in urban Honolulu and set to open in Spring 2025, LC aims to be a safe space where youth are inspired to pursue their dreams, including exploring pathways in arts, sports, technology, and entrepreneurship, while receiving wraparound support to help them reach their goals and become thriving adults. Collaborate with the Wellness and Community Engagement Teams to support enrollment, engagement, and wellness programs at LC. Work directly with youth, providing guidance and support under the supervision of the Community Engagement and Wellness Teams. Build and sustain trusting relationships with youth, ensuring engagement strategies foster participation, belonging, and success. Assist with program planning, implementation, and monitoring, including facilitating wellness-themed psycho-social educational groups. Assist with opening, closing, and monitoring facilities. Provide transportation support as needed. Offer administrative support to ensure efficient coordination and documentation of activities. Demonstrate cultural sensitivity to ensure programs are culturally relevant. Other duties : Contribute to the organization’s success by accepting new assignments, helping team members, learning new skills, and collaborating to achieve strategic goals. Participate in professional development opportunities. Be available for evening and weekend hours as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Four-year degree related to social work, social services, psychology, or four years of equivalent experience. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Capacity to perform frontline work in various settings including schools, public spaces, offices, and distressed communities. Valid driver’s license and clean traffic record. TB clearance.
