Title : Sr. Project Manager & Structural Engineer Segment : Orion Engineering
POSITION SUMMARY
This position is accountable for providing senior level project management and structural engineering to support the Company's design and permitting projects. Typical projects may include port facilities, wharves, liquid cargo terminals, bridges and causeways, container terminals, cruise terminals, bulkheads, docks, piers, or marinas. The incumbent will typically supervise Engineers and other project team members on a regular basis. This includes performing conceptual engineering, permitting, final engineering and construction review services with project personnel and any required subconsultants, to ensure successful project completion and close out.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
BS Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering from an accredited college or university and a minimum of eight (8) years of work experience is required. Prior work experience as a project manager and design engineer in the marine construction, heavy industrial or engineering design industries is preferred. The incumbent must have a working knowledge of Project Engineering Standards, Marine Structures Design, Estimating, Scheduling, Project Tracking Software, Cost Control, and Safety and Environmental Compliance.
The incumbent must have the ability to quickly learn the technical aspects of the business; be an effective communicator; have the ability to interface well with employees at all levels of the organization; and able to work out-of-town for extended periods of time.

PHYSICAL / MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
The incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable workplace accommodation.
The individual must also be able to wear and properly utilize appropriate personal protective equipment if required to work or visit the jobsite. This may include hard hat, safety glasses, respirators, ear plugs, steel-toed shoes, personal flotation devices, or other equipment as required by the work performed and location the work is being done.
The incumbent must possess the ability to remain calm during emergencies and respond appropriately as dictated by the circumstance of the incident and as directed by the Safety Representative or other management personnel. Must be capable of evacuating the work area in a timely manner should an emergency situation arise.
