Responsibilities Med / Surg unit located on the 5th floor of a hospital Patient population includes general med / surg, COVID, pre- and post-cath, and post-pacemaker cases; rare pediatric patients Typical RN-to-patient ratio is 1 : 5-6, with additional support staff based on acuity 12-hour night shifts with start time at 5 : 30 PM Weekend shifts are required, with frequency determined by unit needs Floating required throughout the facility and to other locations within a 60-mile radius according to skillset No on-call or call-back requirements Uses Epic for charting; Epic experience within the past year required Provide comprehensive nursing care for a range of med / surg and post-procedure patients, occasionally including pediatric cases Work as part of a team with support from LPNs or CNAs depending on patient acuity Must be adaptable, resilient, and able to manage change effectively Black scrubs required for this assignment Holiday coverage may be required as determined by unit needs Not open to first-time travelers Must be able to float to multiple locations within the health system Requirements Active WI or compact RN license required American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS) certification required Minimum of 3 years recent RN experience At least 1 completed travel contract required Epic charting experience within the last year required Experience with pre- and post-cath as well as post-pacemaker care required Must not reside within 50 miles of the facility location Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-622386.
