Nurse to Patient Ratio : 1 : 2

Charting System : Cerner

Float Support Areas : Mother Baby, Women's Services

Hourly Pay Rate : $85.47

Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1790 - $1920

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or compact state

Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience

BLS certification (AHA) required

NRP certification preferred

Ability to work 12-hour night shifts, including weekends as needed

Experience with Cerner electronic charting system preferred

Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns

Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs

Assist with labor procedures, including inductions, C-sections, and augmentation of labor

Administer medications such as Pitocin as ordered

Support triage of labor and respond to emergent situations

Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes

Float to Mother Baby and Women's Services units as needed
