Cardiovascular Technologist (FT, Cath Lab)

Work Location : Happy Valley, OR 97015, US

Pay : $50 / hr on W2

Duration : Full Time

Job Summary :

Assists credentialed provider with all diagnostic interventional and therapeutic procedures within the cardiac and vascular laboratory environments. Performs all duties in a manner that promotes teamwork and reflects KPNW mission and philosophy goals. Works under direct supervision of a credentialed provider.

Key Responsibilities

Assist physicians as a scrub tech and / or monitor / recorder during cardiac and vascular procedures

Prepare, position, and educate patients for invasive procedures

Maintain sterile field and follow aseptic technique

Monitor and record hemodynamic data and cardiac rhythms

Recognize arrhythmias and abnormal waveforms and report changes immediately

Manage arterial and venous access sites, including sheath removal and hemostasis

Operate and troubleshoot Cath Lab equipment, including hemodynamic monitoring systems

Assist with IABP, IVUS, and ultrasound-guided access when needed

Administer medications under physician supervision

Perform point-of-care testing (ACT, ABG, oxygen saturation)

Provide BLS / ACLS and defibrillation during emergencies

Participate in on-call rotation and respond within 30 minutes

Maintain supplies, equipment, and a clean work environment

Required Qualifications

BLS and ACLS (American Heart Association)

Completion of an accredited invasive cardiovascular technologist program

OR allied health education (RN, RT, Radiologic Tech, EMT) with 2+ years of recent Cath Lab experience

Ability to obtain RCIS, RCES, or ARRT (Cardiac or Vascular Interventional) certification within 12 months of hire

Strong knowledge of cardiac rhythms and hemodynamics

Ability to work on call and in a fast-paced Cath Lab environment

Preferred Qualifications

5+ years of interventional Cath Lab experience

Current RCIS or RCES certification
