System Administrator / Engineer

Join Point Solutions Group's Federal Services Team supporting satellite communications engineering efforts on a major defense contract! We are hiring a Systems Admin / Engineer to provide technical support for missile and space infrastructure. Candidates must have an active Secret Clearance to be considered, and be able to support on site in Sunnyvale, CA.

Primary Job Responsibilities :

• Systems administration and help desk expertise for sustainment / development environments covering Windows, Solaris, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and other operating systems.
• Configuration, data management, and software builds using Change Management (CM) tools.
• Collaboration with functional teams to resolve findings / issues and participate in Agile activities.
• Development and application of cybersecurity solutions, ensuring compliance with computer security policy and Risk Management Framework (RMF).
• Performance of software installs, updates, and patches, including troubleshooting and support.
• Maintenance and development of documentation, including Version Description Documents (VDDs) and job aides.
• Support for Digital Transformation activities, CDRL preparations, and ad hoc projects.
• Generation and documentation of metrics, tracking and documenting all efforts.
• Travel to remote sites as needed to perform efforts.
• Provision of support across the program information systems, including troubleshooting and remediation of issues.
