About the Role :
We are seeking an experienced Medical Staff Coordinator to support our healthcare administration team on a contract and remote basis . The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in medical staff coordination , FPPE (Focused Professional Practice Evaluation) processes, and call coverage management . This position plays a vital role in ensuring compliance with accreditation standards and maintaining efficient medical staff operations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Coordinate all aspects of medical staff credentialing , reappointments, and privileging processes in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards (TJC, CMS, NCQA, etc.).
- Manage and monitor FPPE and OPPE activities to ensure timely documentation, evaluation, and reporting.
- Maintain and distribute accurate physician call coverage schedules , ensuring adequate staffing and timely updates to stakeholders.
- Serve as the liaison between medical staff, department chairs, and hospital administration to resolve credentialing or scheduling issues.
- Ensure compliance with medical staff bylaws, rules, and regulations .
- Maintain up-to-date credentialing records and data in medical staff software systems.
- Prepare and distribute meeting materials, agendas, and minutes for medical staff and committee meetings as needed.
Experience :
Minimum 5 years of experience in medical staff coordination or credentialing in a hospital or healthcare organization.Experience in FPPE / OPPE management and call coverage scheduling is required.Skills :
Strong knowledge of medical staff bylaws, privileging standards, and credentialing procedures.Proficiency in medical staff software systems such as Cactus, MD-Staff, or Echo .Excellent organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a remote environment.
