Responsibilities Work in an adult-to-geriatric Cardiac Telemetry unit Night shifts, three 12-hour shifts per week from 7 : 00 pm to 7 : 00 am Unit has 16 beds with a typical nurse-to-patient ratio of 1 : 5 Patients include those with post-MI, heart failure, arrhythmias, chest pain, and peripheral vascular disease Care involves telemetry, EKG, Doppler studies, and peritoneal dialysis Epic EMR experience is required; Pyxis and SBAR systems are used Floating to other telemetry or other units as needed No call requirements Expected to work 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule Must be available to work all assigned major holidays according to facility policy; limited holiday RTO may be reviewed if three holidays fall within contract Navy blue scrubs are required Full compliance with documentation and modules required prior to start to avoid assignment delays Modules are completed during orientation and tracked via transcript Clinical screening will be conducted for all candidates Local candidates are accepted at the same pay rate No blocked scheduling is permitted Travel pairs cannot be scheduled for the same shift on the same unit Return travelers must complete one successful assignment elsewhere if not eligible to return to a prior facility Requirements Active GA or compact RN license required at time of consideration Minimum of 1 year recent Cardiac Telemetry experience required BLS and ACLS certifications are required Experience caring for post-MI, heart failure, arrhythmias, and related cardiac patients required Epic EMR experience required Must submit up to 7 days of requested time off (RTO) with application Must be away from Piedmont facilities for at least 1 year if previously employed as perm or PRN Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-610444.
