About The Position

Job Title : Sterile Processing Tech (SPT)

Location : MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital, Clinton, MD

Start Date : 11 / 03 / 2025

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 5x8 Evenings (3 : 00 PM – 11 : 30 PM)

Weekend Requirement : 4 shifts per contract (1 day shift each weekend, not both days)

Call Requirement : Rotating weekends only

Weekly Gross Pay to candidate(before Taxes)

$1,280.00

Requirements :

Minimum 2 years of experience as a Sterile Processing Tech

Must hold CBSPD or IAHCSMM / HSPA certification

Travel experience required (first-time travelers accepted depending on experience)

References : 2 supervisor references required

License : Compact or MD license required

Skills Needed :

Decontamination & Disinfection (manual cleaning, high-level disinfection, chemical agents)

Sterilization (Steam, Sterrad, Steris, IUSS, gas testing, indicators)

Instrument & Tray Assembly, Case Carts, Preference Cards, Wrapping Procedures

Specialty Equipment Processing : Bariatric, Cardiac, ENT, Endoscopy, General, Ortho, OB / GYN, Robotics, etc.

Endoscope / Scope Reprocessing

Equipment Documentation & SPM (Sterile Processing Microsystem)

Acute Hospital OR experience preferred
