- L’Alliance New York is internationally known for offering the largest selection of fully-immersive French language courses for students aged one to 101, and for its renowned cultural programming including the annual Bastille Day celebration that takes place on New York's famed Madison Avenue, attracting over 50,000 visitors each year; the Crossing The Line arts and performance festival that engages NYC cultural institutions in bringing dynamic international artists to audiences; Animation First, the biggest animation festival in the U.S; and the Comic Arts Fest, celebrating the intersection of American and francophone comic arts. Position Summary The Exams Coordinator is responsible for the effective organization and smooth running of all French proficiency exams and university exams offered by L’Alliance New York.
Key Responsibilities Operations Schedule exam dates throughout the year in accordance with the partners’ calendars Organize sessions for group and individual evaluations Read and know exam protocols Receive and store exams subjects and materials Maintain different databases, prices, and calendars of all exams and candidates Receive invoices and submit payment requests to accounting Invoice partners and clients Customer Service Answer questions, and inform students / candidates by phone and email Welcome and inform candidates during exams Update exam dates on L’Alliance New York website Management and Development Email new session dates and encourage students to register Organize training sessions for future examiners / graders Proactively prospect schools and potential partners to expand our certification offer off-site Hire and assign proctors, hire examiners / graders Keep track of yearly registrations and increase revenues and registrations Other Responsibilities Answer course-related questions by phone or email Register students by phone, online, and in-person (help at the LC front desk when needed) Assess incoming students (placement test) and advise them on level and class options Process class transfers, apply refunds and tuition credits Continuously monitor demand for all exams and propose an action plan to keep our offer consistently available The job description above is not an exhaustive list of duties.
