What You Will Do

The Industrial Engineering Internship Program is targeted at college engineering students designed to expose you to the high technology, fast-paced world of aviation manufacturing with challenging assignments in the many disciplines of Manufacturing which include part manufacturing, assembly, and specialties such as Coating, Welding, Forging, and Machining.

Development occurs with Pratt & Whitney Industrial Engineering training, data collection and improvement projects as well day to day assignments. At the conclusion of the internship, students will be presenting their results to high level managers and executives as part of their progression development in becoming a full time Industrial Engineer.

Available internship positions are in the following locations : East Hartford or Middletown CT, North Berwick ME, Asheville NC, Columbus GA, and Lansing, MI

Key Responsibilities

Evaluate operations and identify improvement opportunities, utilizing data analysis and metrics.

Review and analyze work cell layout, process flow, material flow, to establish standard work.

Conduct labor and machine capacity analysis to identify improvements.

Maintain and update time standards for established operations.

Qualifications You Must Have

Enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate engineering degree studying Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field.

Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems / tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship

Qualifications We Prefer

Have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes.

Data mining & manipulation experience with Excel, VBA, SQL, other methods.

Working knowledge of product manufacturing / process technologies.

Onsite : Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
