Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with at least 1 year of PET / CT and nuclear medicine experience for a day shift assignment.

Responsibilities

  • Work in both inpatient and outpatient settings in a nuclear medicine department
  • Perform PET / CT scans, including whole body FDG PET / CT, brain PET imaging, limited cardiac PET, and neuroendocrine imaging
  • Majority of caseload consists of oncologic diagnostic studies
  • Daily caseload includes approximately 33 PET / CT scans utilizing two PET / CT scanners
  • Typical day shifts include 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 30 PM, 8 : 30 AM to 5 : 00 PM, 9 : 30 AM to 6 : 00 PM, or 10 : 30 AM to 7 : 00 PM
  • Use of PACS system required
  • Main responsibilities include performing PET / CT and nuclear medicine diagnostic procedures across varied patient cases
  • Scrubs are not provided; preferred color is grey
  • Reference requirements must include at least one manager or formal leader; coworker references are not accepted
  • Candidates must complete urgent Ohio fingerprinting requirements immediately after contract signing
  • All time-off requests must be declared at the time of consideration
  • Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
  • Former employees eligible if separated for at least 6 months; current employees are not eligible for travel roles at this facility
  • Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of recent nuclear medicine technologist experience, including PET, cardiac, brain scan, and tumor localization procedures
  • Current BLS, ARRT (N) or NMTCB certification, and state license required if applicable
  • Experience in both outpatient and inpatient work settings
  • Proficiency with IV starts and PACS required
  • Two professional references needed, with at least one from a supervisor or manager
