Assistant Teacher

Utah Community Action is excited to announce an opening for an Assistant Teacher position in the Salt Lake area. This role offers a competitive wage of $20.89/hour and is a year-round, full-time position with a 40-hour-per-week schedule, typically from 7:45 am to 4:15 pm.

POSITION SUMMARY

As an Assistant Teacher, you will collaborate effectively with your classroom team to deliver high-quality services to children and families. You will be responsible for the safety, supervision, and engaging activities of preschool-age children assigned to your care.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, OR LICENSES

• Preschool CDA
• One year of related experience in a classroom setting
• Valid driver's license

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, OR LICENSES

• Two years of related experience
• Previous Head Start experience
• Bilingual in languages spoken by families served by UCA
