Description :

The facility is accepting applications for an Emergency Room Registered Nurse.

This position involves working in a Level III Trauma Center.

The Emergency Room consists of 21 ED Beds and 1 Trauma Bay.

There are 2 triage rooms available, where travelers are allowed to triage.

ER holds are intermixed within the Emergency Room.

ER staff manage their own holds without a special location.

There are 4 separate Psych / seclusion rooms available, along with 2 ER rooms that can be converted into crisis rooms.

In-house security is present.

The Emergency Room sees approximately 125 patients per day.

Staffing ratios are typically 4 : 1.

Patients with various diagnoses and types are cared for in the Emergency Department.

Physicians and mid-level providers are available 24 / 7.

The facility has dedicated charge nurses and house supervisors.

Emergency Department technicians, paramedics, and patient sitters are present 24 / 7.

The electronic medical record system used is Meditech.

Respiratory therapists handle ABG's and breathing treatments.

Registered Nurses and technicians conduct EKGs.

Telemetry is available, and RNs are responsible for reading strips.

Imaging staff perform transports for X-ray and CT scans.

ED technicians and RNs perform most blood draws.

Shifts are 12 hours long, with weekend requirements every other week.

Holidays are scheduled per contract guidelines.

No call or standby requirement exists for this position.

There are no floating requirements.

The dress code is any color other than purple.
