Description :

This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in telemetry.

The unit is a heart telemetry unit with a total of 25 beds.

There are more than 40 staff members available on the unit.

The day shift consists of 1 free charge nurse, 1 unit coordinator, 2 patient care technicians, and 5 registered nurses.

The night shift consists of 5 registered nurses and 1 patient care technician.

Patient ratios are typically 6 : 1, but can occasionally be 5 : 1.

The unit utilizes Baxter IV pumps, KCI wound vacs, and SCD pumps.

The electronic medical record system used is Meditech.

Candidates must possess the following skills to be considered for the role :

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.

Preferred skills include experience with Meditech and telemetry.

Candidates should be able to manage chest tubes.

Candidates should be familiar with managing non-titrated Cardizem and Amiodarone drips.

Candidates should be able to manage weight-based heparin drips.

The dress code requires wearing royal blue scrubs.
