As an Armed Security Officer - Government Site - Full Time in Bronx, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a valued team member with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment within a government location. In this unarmed patrol position, your responsibilities will include regularly monitoring assigned areas, conducting routine patrols, and remaining visible to help to deter security-related incidents. Pay Rate : $32.70 / Hour

Job Schedule : DayTime

Mon 12 : 00 AM - 08 : 00 AM

Fri 12 : 00 AM - 08 : 00 AM

Sat 12 : 00 AM - 08 : 00 AM

Sun 08 : 00 AM - 04 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate parties.
  • Support access control measures by monitoring entry and exit points as required by site policies.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and / or employees while upholding Allied Universal standards.
  • Complete detailed reports and logs regarding daily activities, incidents, and / or other security-related matters as required by the site.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Applicants must possess a valid Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
  • Applicants must have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Applicants must possess a valid Armed Guard Card or License.
  • Applicants must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • A valid firearms permit is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
