Description :
Under the general direction of the President, the Director of Accounting is responsible for guiding the financial activities of the Kno-Ho-Co-Ashland Community Action Commission by performing duties personally or through fiscal staff. This position plans, establishes, implements, manages and administers control systems for all financial-related activities of the organization. This position is responsible for the ongoing accounting and internal control system that adequately safeguards, controls and tracks all agency assets, transactions and revenues and assures that all grant contract guidelines and requirements are followed.
Education / Experience :
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in accounting, business, fiscal management or a related field
from four-year college or university with at least five years of accounting experience working in the non-profit sector. Certified public accountant preferred. Desire experience with accounting, budgeting and reporting required for affordable housing projects. Knowledge of Uniform Guidance and Housing and Urban Development (HUD) policies.
