Facilities Maintenance Technician

Elgin Separation Solutions, an Astec Industries company, is an innovative company dedicated to providing unique solids separation solutions to customers' industrial needs.

We are seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing facility and production equipment to ensure a safe and productive work environment.

Responsibilities :

• Maintenance and upkeep of the office and production facility (total 100,000 SF)
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance
• Utilize computer-based maintenance management system (CMMS) to address work order requests and document maintenance activities
• Coordinate repair of production equipment with contractors and production team.
• Coordinate calibration with suppliers and the quality manager
• Coordinate purchase of facility project materials with sourcing
• Assist in the setup and / or relocation of machinery and equipment.
• Read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and manuals.
• Maintain inventory of hand-tools and power-tools
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and electrical codes.

Requirements :

Work Schedule and Pay :

Onsite Monday – Friday 7 : 00am – 3 : 30pm

Hourly non-exempt position eligible for overtime with base rate of $22-$25 / hour

This position reports directly to the Operations Manager
