Job descriptionPatient Demographics : Emergency Department Patients Annual Volume : 16000 Case Mix : General Emergency Medicine Cases Emergency Department Beds : 7-10 EMR System : Cerner Community Works Support Staff : Physicians and Advanced Practitioners Reason for Coverage : Staffing Needs Hospital Privileges Required : Yes BENEFITS Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance : Provided REQUIRED PROCEDURES General Emergency Medicine Procedures Active MS License ATLS, ACLS, PALS Required Board Certification : BC / BE Provide emergency medical care to patients Assess, diagnose, and treat patients in the emergency department Perform required emergency procedures Work scheduled shifts as per staffing model Utilize Cerner Community Works EMR for documentation and care management Participate in orientation, EMR training, and shadow shifts as required Experience the satisfaction of making a difference in patients' lives, even in short-term assignments, contributing to your overall sense of purpose and fulfillment. Participate in clinical research projects or data collection initiatives during locum assignments, contributing to medical knowledge advancement and evidence-based practice. Provide essential medical services to underserved communities or during staff shortages, ensuring consistent patient care nationwide. Stay current with the latest medical advancements and technologies by working in various facilities with diverse resources. Tailor patient care approaches to individual needs and preferences, free from institutional protocols or constraints, fostering patient-centered care and satisfaction.
