Labor & Delivery RN Job Details

Location : Silverton, OR (Zip : 97381) – Enjoy a welcoming small-town atmosphere with access to hiking trails, gardens, and local dining.

Employment Type : Travel RN (locum tenens)

Healthcare Setting : Labor & Delivery Unit

Contract Length : 13 weeks

Start Date : September 24, 2025 (ASAP, any Wednesday)

Nursing Shift : Night shifts, 12 hours (19 : 00 - 07 : 30)

Hours per Week : 36 or 48 hours / week available

Weekend Coverage : Every other weekend required

Patient Ratios : 1 : 1 – 1 : 2 (Days & Nights)

Floating : Required between Legacy Health facilities (Randall Children's, Meridian Park, Good Sam, Mount Hood)

Estimated Weekly Salary : $2180-$2340

Labor & Delivery RN Qualifications

Active Oregon Registered Nurse (RN) license or proof of application / fingerprints at submission

Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience

Previous travel nursing experience preferred

Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required

EPIC EMR charting experience required

MFTI certification preferred

Ability to float between multiple Legacy Health facilities as needed

Must complete assigned education modules within one week of assignment

Applicants must live more than 50 miles from any Legacy facility (locals not accepted)

Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate, evidence-based care to laboring mothers and newborns

Monitor and assess patients throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum stages

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic medical records

Float between designated Legacy Health facilities as assigned

Maintain compliance with facility policies, procedures, and mandatory education

Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate interventions

Participate in orientation and complete required modules and competencies
