The Commercial Construction Assistant Project Manager (CCAPM) acts as the right-hand of the Sr. Project Manager and is an important member of the project management team.
Job Responsibilities
The CCAPM’s responsibilities are varied, encompassing everything from pre-construction bid solicitations to post-construction project closeout documentation and everything in-between.
Scope of the CCAPM includes :
- Monitor project budgets
- Assist with pre-construction RFP package issuance and bid solicitation
- Manage and track job processes (RFI’s, submittals, change orders, payment applications)
- Manage the project closeout process
- Manage subcontract and change order documentation
- Review subcontractor & vendor invoices against respective subcontracts & purchase orders
- Create & maintain project books and documentation
- Attend & keep minutes of project meetings
- Vet new subcontractors and vendors
- Request & transmit product samples or mockups to design team
- Collect and manage lien waivers
- Ensure all subcontractor paperwork is up-to-date and on-file prior to subcontract issuance
- Keep all aspects of Procore (our cloud management software) up-to-date at all times
- Review construction plans to identify scope, special notes, unique requirements
- Assist in procurement of project fixtures and materials
- Procure signage and other items necessary to pass final inspections
- Keep construction documents up-to-date on company server
- Assist with management of the restaurant maintenance and small projects division
- Project-related and other errands as required
