Manager, Hedge Fund Tax

SS&C, through its BPO partnership with Lighthouse, is currently seeking a candidate who will be part of a multi-dimensional middle to back office operations and accounting department responsible for all aspects of post trade matching, trade capture, and all aspects of daily operations, treasury services, accounting and tax compliance, planning and reporting. The ideal candidate is one who works or has worked within a multi-strategy hedge fund, financial institution or hedge fund administrator with solid exposure to fund accounting, OMS / PMS integration, middle office post trade reporting and operations.

What You Will Get To Do :
Manage the tax compliance process and coordinate with our outside Tax Preparers regarding the completion and filings of accurate and timely Federal and State tax returnsGenerate and create reports; perform reconciliations and troubleshoot discrepancies; and supply required data, workpapers or forms to outside Tax PreparersManage and coordinate with Service provider for accurate reporting of FACTA and CRS and submit appropriate filings timely and accuratelyPrepare monthly tax provisions for financial statements of management companyPrepare and supply necessary provision information for half year and full year audit financial statement supportAssist with State audits as necessaryManage, coach and motivate other members of the Tax groupReview Tax Associates work for accuracyAssist, respond to and supply information to internal departments such as Investor Relations, Operations, Law Department, Investment team, etc.Assist in any research regarding Federal, State, and International tax issuesParticipate in technology automation, procedure development, and other special projectsParticipate in ad hoc special projects and help develop process improvements related to increasing efficiency of the groupWhat You Will Bring :
Bachelor’s degree in Tax, Accounting or related fieldCPA preferred5+ year experience with investments preferredStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentStrong organizational skills with the ability to set, organize and meet prioritiesStrong attention to detailStrong analytical skillsStrong MS Excel knowledge
