SH-747 Project Manager - IT Governance, Indiana

Position Overview :

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our IT Project Management Office (PMO). In this role, you will manage medium to large-scale projects, ensuring alignment with established governance policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong leadership capabilities, able to drive complex projects to successful completion while maintaining positive stakeholder relationships across multiple business groups.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Manage medium to large, complex multi-year projects from initiation through closure
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with CSB-IT staff, county / agency personnel, and contracted resources
  • Develop, maintain, and review comprehensive project documentation including project plans, schedules, risk / issue logs, and lessons learned
  • Facilitate project meetings, creating agendas and documenting minutes and action items
  • Utilize Atlassian tool suite to track milestones, tasks, and deliverables against baselines
  • Monitor project progress and communicate status, risks, and issues to stakeholders and PMO leadership
  • Adhere to and help maintain PMO policies, standard operating procedures, and document management strategies
  • Support portfolio maintenance and contribute to the evolution of governance methodologies

Qualifications & Requirements :

Experience :

  • Minimum 5 years of project management experience
  • 2+ years managing large, complex multi-year projects
  • Experience with state government projects preferred
  • Business knowledge of IV-D and Child Support Enforcement systems preferred
  • Technical Skills :

  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Outlook, SharePoint, Word, Excel, Project, Visio)
  • Intermediate knowledge of Atlassian Tool Suite and Salesforce technology
  • Thorough understanding of PMBOK project management practices
  • Strong knowledge of Agile Project Management and IT governance methodologies
  • Professional Requirements :

  • Must currently reside in the State of Indiana
  • PMP certification preferred
  • Agile and / or Scrum Master certifications preferred
  • Core Competencies :

  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and influence cross-functional teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to address project challenges
  • Excellent relationship-building skills across business groups and organizational levels
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
