Anderson, IN\nCandidates will care for patients that are going to have or have had a surgical procedure under anesthesia. This care would include : pre-operative assessment, post-anesthesia recovery, ambulatory surgical care and pain management.

Responsibilities

Deliver professional nursing care in the operative setting to patients undergoing surgical or other invasive procedures.\nPerform scrub functions including the selection and handling of instruments and supplies used during procedure.\nPerform circulating functions including monitoring, recording and communicating patient condition and managing overall nursing care of patient before, during and after procedure.\nDirectly assist operating physician with surgical tasks including hemostasis, suturing and wound exposure as well as patient positioning.\nPrepare operating rooms and surgical instruments and equipment for use.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration : \nRegistered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.\nOne or more of the following required :

Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.\nBLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education : \nDiploma from an accredited school / college of nursing OR required professional licensure at time of hire.

Additional Preferences

Previous relevant experience is preferred.
