Job Summary
Cleans all areas of the facility by performing the following duties.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Demonstrates Competency in the Following Areas :
- Performs all assigned tasks in a professional manner in order to reflect the highest integrity of the Housekeeping Department.
- Performs routine cleaning of patient rooms, patient care units, offices, clinical areas, waiting areas, restrooms, offices, and all other areas within UBH campus.
- Performs discharge cleaning according to policy.
- Demonstrates ability to use and maintain cleaning equipment properly.
- Assists visitors with directions whenever requested.
- Introduces self to patients, families, and visitors as appropriate.
- Handles regular and hazardous waste appropriately.
- Cleans and stocks housekeeping carts and closets at end of shift.
- Observes safety and security precautions including reporting safety hazards to supervisors.
Professional Requirements
Ensures that appearance and personal conduct are professional at all times.Excellent attendance record.Wears appropriate clothing for job functions. Wears ID badge.Works at maintaining a good rapport and a cooperative working relationship with physicians, administration, and staff.Represents the organization in a positive and professional manner in the community.Maintains patient confidentiality at all times.Complies with all organizational policies regarding ethical business practices.Completes all work assignments in a timely manner.Attends staff meetings regularly or reads and reports to the manager all staff memos concerning work.Actively participates in the department's continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities.Complies with infection control practices by following universal and isolation precautions, and the dress and hygiene code, for short natural fingernails and limiting wearing multiple rings.Reports to work on time and as scheduled.Uses the computerized punch time system correctly, has minimal missed punches.EXTRA EFFORT PERFORMANCEWilling to work alternate / rotating shifts as needed.Promotes good teamwork by helping co-workers.Exhibits a positive attitude; being optimistic, encouraging, and helpful to team members, and avoiding negativity with others.Maintains and submits CQI records in a timely manner.Uintah Basin Healthcare is an equal opportunity employer including disabilities / Vets
