Job Description
Responsibilities :
- Research, order, and maintain necessary supplies to support assigned work and projects.
- Uses basic mechanics' tools; wrenches, ratchets, sockets, hack saw, tape measure, and screwdriver.
- Performs basic operations of major pieces of plant equipment
- Uses basic mechanical skills to identify and correct minor mechanical issues with equipment
- Performs stick welding and uses cutting torch
- Understands and interprets basic drawings or sketches
- Uses basic electrical troubleshooting skills to identify and correct minor electrical issues with equipment
- Uses voltmeter to perform basic electrical troubleshooting
- Understands the basic principles of hydraulics and pneumatics
- Understands basic lubrication principles
- Understands and operates electric and LPG / Gas forklifts
- Correctly completes work order forms
- Correctly completes inventory forms
- Follow 5S and safety policies and procedures
- Other duties, as assigned
Qualifications :
Able to read, write and speak EnglishAble to stand and walk for 8 hoursAble to read measuring devicesA minimum of 1 year of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environmentAbility to use job-appropriate toolsProficiency in investigating, deducing and recommending corrective actions for mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems required.Education / Certifications :
High School Diploma or equivalentTrade or Technical school training preferred
