Nurse Practitioner - Psychiatry and Psychology

Job Description

The Psychiatry and Psychology department has an exciting opportunity for a talented and caring Nurse Practitioner to join our comprehensive care team to meet the needs of high acuity psychiatric patients on our 14 bed inpatient psychiatric unit. The care team consists of two inpatient psychiatrists and two nurse practitioners who work a 7 on / 7 off schedule. This position requires a motivated individual who will seek out clinical autonomy with support of team members.

The successful candidate will serve a vital function in the Department of Psychiatry & Psychology at Mayo Clinic Health System with their primary site in Albert Lea, MN and coverage for our Mankato, MN site.

The scope of work will involve working as an integral team member of a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

Masters-prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program. Current MN RN and APRN license and certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health NP Certification (PMHNP-BC). Doctorate preferred.

At least 1-2 years Psychiatric-Mental Health NP inpatient behavioral health experience or 3-5 years outpatient required.

BLS and DEA required.
