Patient Coordinator

This role will support the Clarksburg WV area hospitals Monday-Thursday and Sunday. The Patient Coordinator is responsible for performing a variety of customer service and patient care tasks to ensure a positive patient experience. Ensures documentation and patient records are prepared and organized. Ensures patients have a clear understanding of what to expect during and after their appointment. Specific duties include, but are not limited to :

• Greets and assists patients, customers and visitors in person and over the phone.
• Will perform patient registration in various systems.
• Answers all phone calls in a professional and courteous manner.
• May collect monies for time-of-service patient responsibility.
• May be responsible for verifying insurance coverage and obtain prior authorization.
